Walking cricket is a fairly new group which already has quite a few members.
This is a gentle game of cricket played with the plastic equipment used at primary school, so no pads and gloves required. We have a fairly equal proportion of men and ladies signed up. We play on the all weather wicket at Boughton Hall Cricket Club, the club open their facilities, and each player contributes £5 towards the hire costs. This year we played on Monday mornings, but 2027 times will depend upon member's availability.
The rules are such that everyone gets to bat and bowl (underhand is OK) for the same amount of time, so if you are out first ball you carry batting for your allotted time. Games can be played with 6, 7 or 8 per side.
