The Opera Appreciation Group meets on the first Thursday of each month from 10 am to 12 noon at Vicars Cross Golf Club.

Each month one group member provides a two hour programme (usually DVD or CD format) on an opera of their choice. Notes may be prepared and distributed by the member giving the programme, but for any member not having personal computer access this requirement is optional. Narrative is also an option. All electrical equipment/screen is provided by U3A, and we have several group members very proficient in its use..

A love of opera and classical music is all that is required. If you have a wide and varied knowledge then that would be really helpful to the group. All are very welcome.

A small fee is charged for room rental and refreshments. Parking is provided by the golf club free of charge. Tea/coffee is provided. Lunches are also available at a reasonable cost for any member wishing to stay for lunch following the meeting. Facilities for disabled members are available.
