The Jazz Appreciation 1 Group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, at the coordinator's house.

Aim: To increase the interest in and deepen enjoyment of all forms of modern jazz.

Meetings: There are two groups and both meet at Coordinator's house in Hoole (handy car park nearby). Group I meets on 2nd Tuesday in the month 10.30-12.30

The host has very good hi-fi system - the only constraint is only CDs can be played. Teas and coffees provided by host.

There are usually suggestions from group members. Programmes are varied and have included jazz artists by instrument played, specific performers, jazz by country of origin, etc. Recently we had a "weird" category which went down well and presently members have been asked to bring 2 CDs they would save from the waves and to explain why.
