Bryan Hughes is a member of the Chester u3a and has been involved since childhood with the RNLI, the charity that saves lives at sea around the coasts of the UK and Ireland. Bryan currently undertakes a number of roles for the charity, including as a research volunteer for their Heritage team, sitting on the fundraising committee at New Brighton lifeboat station, and providing support for Chester’s fundraisers.
Bryan provided a background to the charity and its activities as it celebrates its 200th anniversary year. There were 77 attendees.
