Chester has a history of working with silver over two millennia, through mining, coinage and silverware, with its own skilled silversmiths, assay office and hallmarks. In this talk Dennis took 125 members through the phases of the silver trade, explaining how to read the hallmarks on silver and how to care for silver items. He also revealed the location of a museum in Chester that you (probably) didn't know existed!
