November’s Visit to Arley Hall, by Sandra Moffat.

In November we went to Arley Hall to see the festive decorations. These were created with foliage from the gardens at the hall by local flower arrangers. The history was extremely interesting. Although it is still a private house, much filming has taken place there including Peaky Blinders, a Coronation Street wedding and many more.
The staff were very helpful especially with some of our less mobile members, many of whom made it up the stairs with their assistance. A return visit in warmer weather seems very possible as we were assured that the gardens in summer are well worth seeing.
