Anthony Annakin-Smith will tell us about the experiences of the children cared for by the Chester branch of London's Foundling Hospital

This is the previously-untold story of the hundreds of children who were cared for by the Chester branch of London’s Foundling Hospital in the eighteenth century. Foundlings were children who had been abandoned by their parents or who risked being so. The moving talk looks at the experiences of the children before, during and after their years of care by the Foundling Hospital, including how they were looked after in Chester’s Bluecoat School and surrounding villages.
