When: Monthly on Monday mornings 10:30 am
2nd Monday
Venue: St Clare's Church

The Group meets on the second Monday of each month at 10.30am - circa 12.00/12.30.

The Group discusses some specific aspect or sometimes generalist "free for all" subjects. Recent topics have included the aspects of the Trump Presidency, the Elgin Marbles, Grenfell Disaster and failures within the UK Civil Service. No skills are needed beyond having an "opinion" and the willingness to voice it, yet also listen respectfully, within polite, but occasionally passionate, discussions to the opinions of others. Currently the Group has 4 women and 6 men.

There is a charge of £2 per session, which covers room rental and refreshments

Biscuits and a hot drink [coffees, teas] are provide circa 11.15am.

Ideally for each meeting members, purely on a voluntary basis, prepare and lead off/chair on a topic that interests them and is thought to be relevant to the group, but this is not mandatory. Sometimes discussion just follows popular current news items. Overall responsibility lies with the Group coordinator.

Meetings are held at the Parish Room of St Clare's Church, Downsfield Road, CH4 8HH. Free Parking and disabled access/toilet facilities available. Any car sharing is organised on an individual basis.

The active membership of the Group stands at 11. Whilst the room will hold many more, the practical ceiling for the group is about 16.
